All invited! Music by the choir and soloists, along with readings, recount Jesus’ final hours on the cross – through the eyes of witnesses who had direct contact with Jesus. “Tenebrae” is the Latin word for “darkness”. Throughout the service, the lights grow dimmer and dimmer until the church is in darkness. Worshipers leave in silence and darkness to ponder the impact of Christ’s death.

This music service will be lead by the Chancel Choir, accompanied by piano, pipe organ,  string trio, banjo, handbells, and flute. Music will include, Agnus Dei for the High Lonesome Mass, a blue grass mass, and beautiful arrangements of When Jesus Wept, More Love to Thee, and many more.
