JUST A REMINDER!
The session met by conference call Monday night, March 16 and decided that for the sake of the wider community, as well as the particularly vulnerable among us, that the church would abide by the guidelines of the CDC by discontinuing live, indoor worship services for the eight-week period of social isolation the best science dictates in order to stem the spread of covid-19. It was further decided that no gatherings of more than 10 people would be allowed in the building under normal circumstances. Groups of 10 and under were granted discretion as to continuation of regular meetings.
We will continue to offer recorded portions of worship like last Sunday, which we hope to further enhance with music. (Many thanks to those who let us know that you tuned in!)
One Great Hour of Sharing: Since 1949 Presbyterians have joined with millions of other Christians through One Great Hour of Sharing, to share God’s love with those in need. Your generous gifts assist those affected by natural disasters, provide food for the hungry and assist to help empower the poor and oppressed. Specifically, gifts to the One Great Hour of Sharing special offering support the following: Presbyterian Disaster Assistance, Presbyterian Hunger Program and Self-Development of People. This offering will be received on Easter Sunday. Contributions may be made in either the designated envelopes available in the church office or by writing a check to BEPC with a notation for “One Great Hour of Sharing”.
